How much does a garden room cost?
Every project is specified individually, so we do not publish prices that have not been approved for your design. After a consultation and site survey you receive a written proposal setting out exactly what is included.
Will I need planning permission?
It depends on your property, the size and construction of the building, any restrictions on your site, and — importantly — how you intend to use it. Requirements also vary across the UK nations. Read our planning information page and obtain site-specific advice before work proceeds.
Do garden rooms need building regulations approval?
Some do and some do not. Habitable accommodation, sleeping use and certain sizes or positions are more likely to engage building regulations. What applies to your project is assessed individually.
Can a granny annexe be lived in permanently?
Self-contained residential accommodation raises particular planning and building regulation questions and does not automatically qualify as permitted development. Please raise your intended use at the first consultation so it can be assessed properly.
How long does the whole process take?
It depends on the design, approvals, site preparation and access. We confirm timings in your written proposal rather than promising a timescale before your design and survey are complete.
Do you handle groundworks and the base?
Site preparation requirements are assessed at survey and set out in your proposal, including what we carry out and anything you need to arrange.
What about electrics, water and drainage?
Services are designed for each project. Supply routes, certification and drainage are assessed individually and confirmed in writing before work begins.
Can I use it all year round?
Insulation, heating, ventilation and glazing are specified as part of the design. The specification agreed for your project is stated in your proposal.
Which areas do you cover?
Our confirmed coverage has not been published yet. Tell us your postcode in an enquiry and we will confirm whether we can cover your location.
Is the consultation really free?
Yes. Telephone and video design consultations are free and carry no obligation. Site survey visits are subject to location and availability.
Are the photographs on this website your projects?
No. All imagery is illustrative and shows the style of building we design. Verified project photography will be published separately once supplied.
What happens to my details?
Enquiry details are stored privately and used only to respond to you and arrange your consultation. Marketing emails are only sent if you tick the separate consent option.
